The day before my first trip to Europe in 2006, I decided I needed a camera to take with me. I went to a pawn shop in South Philly and purchased a used Canon AE-1. I didn't intentionally buy a film camera, but itt was the camera I saw my father use when I was a child. It was familiar to me.
That was the starting point for me. It was the beginning of my obsession with cameras and creating images. It really changed my life. In many ways, I feel like I'm just getting started as I figure out who I am and what my perspective is. Not only as a storyteller, but also as a human, as a husband, and as a father.
I'm still learning.
I'm still growing.
I'm still searching.
